Careers Trip

Hard to believe it is a week since we came back from our Careers Trip to Wellington. A big thanks to FutureinTech who assisted in getting ambassadors from many industries to interact with our kids in their work places.

Photos below show us spending time at RNZAF Ohakea, Te Papa, Ministry of Primary Industries, Weltec, Carter Observatory, Meridian Energy's 5 star energy rated building and the Makara Wind Farm.

Grease is the word!

Here is a little tease of what the audience can expect tomorrow. We are amped to perform Summer Nights for all of those people old enough to remember the original!

Twylimpics

On Wednesday we held our Twylimpics competition for the senior school, Rooms 4 - 7.

Students were divided into 8 countries and competed in Twyford versions of Olympic events. Some individual students were acknowledged for really embodying the Olympic spirit. I know this was a really hard choice for Mrs Broome as all students participated to the fullest and supported their team mates' success.

The medal ceremony provided plenty of cheers and a freestyled version of the Kenyan national anthem. Kenya believe it?

Gold: Kenya (955 points)
Silver: Canada (886 points)
Bronze: Jamaica (880 points)
