Individual Flight Inquiries taking off!

We have been investigating flight as part of our science inquiry this term. Things we have covered include the characteristics of flight, wing loading, air pressure, lift versus gravity, thrust versus drag and how different wing aspect ratios effect birds and aircrafts' movement through the air.
Now we are trying to create the most effective flying object. Hang on, what do we mean by most effective? Some of us are going for distance, others speed. Height and accuracy are also being pursued. Now we have all types of aircraft being created: paper planes, model gliders, hot air balloons, water powered rockets and Chinese lanterns.

Mrs Stevens' Farewell

Mrs Stevens was attached to Room 7 for four weeks as a candidate teacher. She provided us with so many great memories and rewarding learning experiences, even coming on field trips and leaving us with wonderful gifts.
A framed one of a kind artwork made up of our fingerprints.
Serious photo and...
Is that what we really look like?
