ANZAC Day & Galipolli 100

This week Ruma Whitu have carried out a mini inquiry into the Galipolli landing and investigated the experiences of soldiers serving as part of the ANZAC forces. While many of Twyford School's younger students have indulged in baking delicious tasting ANZAC biscuits, Room 7 has looked a little further afield. We discovered the realities of day to day food in the trenches was pretty tough and decided to create 'hard tack' for ourselves. Most students compared the hard tack to Tux dog biscuits and all agreed that dunking them in sweet tea was about the only way to be able to crunch it up.
